Visible Repair LAB
Edulands resource

A visible repair is one of a kind. Each repaired object carries a unique history, which can be told through it‘s mending experience, choice of material and artistic expression. In a community where creative ways of mending skills are shared, their impact on the environment are inevitable. Our society needs to be fixed, more than ever!

Look in the hive

Learning Phase: The class will visit the beehive with the beekeeper at least once.

Concept phase: The class gets the task to connect the beehive with a certain spot in school. This spot will be kind of a portal that connects the school with the experiences they had with the collaboration beehive.

The class will think of their experiences and what they found most fascinating. They will collect ideas of how to transfer their experiences to their school mates. (Honey tasting workshops…).

Solar Sound LAB
Edulands resource

Beginning with the question, how to plan and execute an energy independent music event and which kind of technical components would be needed for this kind of endeavour, one has to concretely analyse the climatic conditions of the landscape, which is of interest for a future solar event. The core element of the solar soundsystem consist in the DIY construction of a 600-watt-strong sound amplificator, which is operable with direct current.

At the same time, the ambition of the ‚Solar Sonics‘ Collective, consisting of artists, makers and activists from Australia, Germany and Portugal, has been from the beginning to educate the wider public and disseminate this knowledge in the form of an open source construction manual.
