My research is focused on the epidemiology of wildlife species, and my work in multiple terrestrial and marine ecosystems has led me to the conviction that education and social dialogue are the best way for conservation and the future. I am a university professor who loves innovation in education and believes in significant learning as a fundamental tool for understanding. I love art, cinema, architecture, and I believe that culture should be a cross-disciplinary subject in education, as it helps us to understand, to question the vital context and to express ourselves.

Irene is a visual artist working on the interface of science, art and technology; Co-Founder of ToZomia – Platform for the development of resistant practices in art and life. She explores possible contact zones and common territories of critical art practice that experimentally links methods of nature, art and play pedagogy. Her spatial interventions create communicative interaction as can be seen in the The Expanded Garden or the exhibition project Corridor breaks at the Manifesta8.

Michaela Martinek is a teacher at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, in the Department of Art Education (Design, Architektur und Environment für Kunstpädagogik). She is an Austrian designer, with her own established design studio in Vienna.

I am interested in plastic and scenic arts and how to teach them. Also I love to travel and learn about other cultures, in fact I have been living some years in India, Nepal and Thailand.

Graduated from the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra in 1999, he began his professional career renovating the Centro Párraga and the Museum of the Cathedral of Murcia, after which he specialised in singular and ecological housing. As an associate teacher of Architectural Projects of the University of Alicante since 2003, he focuses his teaching on caring for the Common and the design of architectures coupled to natural processes. Since 2012, with Huerta Bizarra, he brings a demanding and creative approach to a sustainable environmental, economic, and urban development of the Huerta de Murcia. Since 2017 he coordinates the neighbourhood self-managed project Huertolab Santa Eulalia (Murcia, Spain).

Rolf Laven is an Artist, Researcher and Full Professor at the University College of Teacher Education (Pädagogische Hochschule) in Vienna/Austria. Since 2017 he works also as artistic researcher and lecturer at University of Applied Arts Vienna and Academie of Fine Arts Vienna.

Paola teaches and researches on cultural heritage, landscape as heritage, education for landscape, agrarian landscapes preservation and enhancement

My research focuses on cultural landscape communication, heritage education, participatory representation, and digital innovation for cultural heritage. I’m also coordinating the ScAR (School Activate Resources) research project.

The role of Ina in eduLANDS for transitions project is to input on participatory methodology and action research, dissemination and project monitoring. Ina is a documentary film maker and a dissemination and participation expert. Trained in African studies and Gender Studies, she has led and contributed to projects in the fields of science, culture and arts in China, Eastern Europe/Caucasus, the Mediterranean region, and Sub-Sahara Africa. She burns for feminist approaches to sustainability and the transformative potential of art.

Multidisciplinary artist and educator. I love to know different artistic manifestations, also museums and nature and I enjoy poetry and other literary genres.

My passion lies in the implementation of cooperative, participative (research) projects and thus in working at eye level with people from town and country. I see art as an ideal communication tool.

Christoph Euler is a visual artist developing interdisciplinary strategies to investigate public spaces and landscapes. His work focuses on experimental photography, drawing, and multimedia. He collaborated with Irene Lucas in long-term projects like the Supervision of Paradise (Madrid, 2005), Corridor Breaks (Manifesta8/Murcia, 2010), and Expanded Garden – DanUrb (2018).

I’m dynamic and very interested in everything related with students and school. Now, I’m ERASMUS TEAM coordinator for VET programs.

I am creative and I would like to contribute to the educational innovation in my high school. I think my main contribution is to envisage new methodological strategies for the study of history.

He has received 3 architecture awards, 5 mentions in digital innovation awards, and has participated in several art exhibitions, including the 17th Venice Architecture Biennale 2021.

A journalist with a passion for storytelling. In EduLANDS, I handle social media management, curate news content, and contribute to web content. Beyond my journalistic endeavors, I also engage in personal projects involving audiovisual and photographic work. I’m dedicated to bringing stories to life and creating meaningful connections through various media platforms.

Currently finalising her BA in Teaching German and Geography, and a BA in Political Science. She focusses on innovative teaching methods, participatory approaches and the city as a place of condensed interest that calls for attention on whose voices are getting lost and which strategies can support empowerment.

Laura holds an MA in Environmental Ethics and is Co-Founder of OUTsite. She works, amongst others, as a street worker in Viennas 6th district and further develops the participatory vision game “Urbodrom” for different age groups. Particularly important for her are the possibilities of co-decision-making and inclusive design.
